JOHN R. ELLIS
John Ellis is President, Treasurer, CEO, and Broker of LS Real Estate, Inc. He established the company back in 2002, and grew the company into the corporation it is today. Establishing the vision and charting the path of growth for LS Real Estate, John is responsible for both the property management and Real Estate divisions of the company. As acting Broker, John is meticulous about details and accuracy within clients’ accounts, and has a reputation for placing clients’ needs, goals and objectives at the forefront of every transaction. John provides communication, negotiation and management skills in combination with in-depth knowledge of the surrounding areas, neighborhoods and Real Estate market. John is always looking for new ways of using current technology to provide a higher level of service to all our clients. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker and Realtor, with a CAM certification from the Apartment Association, California Southern Cities, in cooperation with the National Apartment Association. For many years, John taught property management classes for the City of Whittier, including emergency preparedness, tenant screening and fair housing issues; in addition, he continues to teach similar classes for organizations such as NARPM (National Association of Residential Property Managers). He has served as chair of the Whittier Apartment Association of Owners and is currently a member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers, and Apartment Association California, Southern Cities. John is a devoted husband and father of 2 grown children. He enjoys photography, shooting sports, traveling, and spending time with his lovely wife, Julie.

Karen Toth is a licensed Realtor and has been with LS Real Estate for several years working both the property management and Real Estate sales divisions of our company. She is also able to provide our clients with notary services, and is a Whittier Chamber of Commerce ambassador. She has extensive experience in both property management and Real Estate sales, and enjoys working with both buyers and sellers. Karen is a devoted wife and mother of 4 grown children, and grandmother of 6. She is a sports enthusiast, loves playing Spades, and enjoys cooking and spending time with her grandkids. Karen is definitely a “people person” and is enthusiastic about everything she is does! Karen is available to assist you with any of your Real Estate needs.
Gladys Benavidez joined the LS Real Estate team in December 2008. She was hired as a part time office assistant to later become our office manager. In her role as office manager, Gladys supervised maintenance staff, vendors, and processed rental applications. In 2012 she obtained her real estate license and has been working on every LS Real Estate transaction since. Whether you are someone currently renting from us, or looking to rent, a first-time home-buyer or a seasoned seller, she will bring a welcomed energy and integrity to your next real estate adventure with top-notch customer service.
Paul Bonner is the Move-In /Move-Out Coordinator for LS Real Estate, and also performs our property inspections. Paul has been with LS Real Estate the longest, and is a property owner himself also using the services of LS Real Estate. He is certified by the National Apartment Association, both as a certified Apartment Manager and Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician. He also has his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Cal State University, Dominguez Hills, and his Master’s degree in School Management from the University of La Verne. Paul retired from teaching after 30 years as an elementary school teacher. Paul is a devoted husband and father of 2 grown children, and a grandfather of 3. When not attending meetings as President of The Apartment Association California Southern Cities, Paul enjoys reading books, magazines, and newspapers, especially with a hot cup of cocoa with his morning paper!
Julie A. Ellis
Julie Ellis is an Officer of the Corporation, and acting Corporate Secretary for LS Real Estate, Inc. Even though you may not find her in the office during regular business hours, she plays a significant role in the management of the company. Julie has her Bachelor’s degree in English from Cal State University, Fullerton, and her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. After working 18 years as an English teacher, she currently works full-time as faculty and Head of Access Services librarian at Biola University. Julie is a devoted wife and mother of 2 grown children—and if you haven’t figured it out yet, the wife of the CEO of LS Real Estate! Julie enjoys reading, writing, movies, theater, traveling, and spending time with her hubby.
